Biography: 
Sanming Hu received the Ph.D. degree under the joint Master-Doctorate program from Southeast University, Nanjing, China, in 2009. From 2006 to 2009, he visited Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and then worked there as a Research Engineer. From 2009 to 2015, he was a Senior Research Engineer, a Scientist I, and a Scientist II at the Institute of Microelectronics, A*STAR, Singapore, an Alexander von Humboldt Research Fellow at University of Ulm, Germany, and then an Assistant Professor at Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, UK. Now he is a Professor at the State Key Lab. of Millimeter Waves, Southeast University, Nanjing, China. Dr. Hu is a Senior Member of IEEE, a Guest Editor of a SCI-indexed journal (IJAP). As the first author, he received the Best Paper Award of the IEEE Transaction on Components, Packaging, and Manufacturing Technology (2012). He was the recipient of a Research Fellowship of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, Germany (2013), and the recipient of the Recruitment Program of Global Experts (“1000 Young Talents Program”), China (2015).
